Jacqueline van Rijswijk (1966) studied business economics at Fontys College in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. After her studies she started her career at Philips (1987) where over the years she held various senior positions in the Finance & Accounting sector. With the introduction of the EFQM Excellence Model within Philips in the 90s, business excellence caught her interest. In subsequent roles she focused on implementing the EFQM Model and embedding continuous improvement in the financial sector of the company.
In 2009, after a career of 22 years at Philips, she started her own management consultancy agency. Next in 2010 she joined the EFQM Trainers Faculty and started to provide the official EFQM training courses on request of EFQM and her partners. As holder of the EFQM Advisor and EFQM Trainer licenses she also provides advice and training activities based on EFQM Model thinking.
In recent years Jacqueline started to concentrate more on sustainable excellence and has become interested in the challenges associated with making organisations operate more sustainable. As a result from 2011 to 2013 she took on the role of sustainability manager (interim) with chip-machine producer ASML headquartered in Veldhoven, Netherlands.
